Why Couples Choose Foothills Parkway

Planning Your Foothills Parkway Elopement

A possible overlook plan starts with everyone meeting at the approved location, followed by the ceremony and portraits within the permitted use. If you want another backdrop afterward, the route, parking, and photography coverage all need to work together. An open view does not require a complicated itinerary.

Foothills Parkway Planning Notes

01

Weather & access

An exposed overlook needs a thoughtful weather discussion. Check current road conditions and agree on what happens if your permitted location cannot be accessed.

02

Permissions

The National Park Service requires the specific overlook on the application. Foothills Parkway West does not allow photos or events on bridges. Check the current park rules before finalizing plans.

03

Travel

Confirm whether your plan uses Foothills Parkway East or West. They are different meeting locations; accommodation, arrival instructions, and travel quotes should use the exact overlook.
