Planning Your Gatlinburg Elopement

A single ceremony location can give you more time together and fewer transitions. If you picture family portraits followed by time alone for photographs, start there. For a second setting, consider the drive and permitted use before choosing your photography coverage.

Gatlinburg & Great Smoky Mountains Planning Notes

01

Weather & access

Discuss an alternative plan for rain and road closures. A lower-elevation option or private venue needs its own availability and permission; it is not an automatic substitute.

02

Permissions

Ceremonies inside Great Smoky Mountains National Park need a special use permit for a designated site. Private venues have their own booking requirements.

03

Travel

Choose accommodation after narrowing down your ceremony location. Gatlinburg, Cades Cove, and Foothills Parkway are not interchangeable meeting points; your route matters.

A little clarity

Gatlinburg & Great Smoky Mountains FAQ

How do we choose between a waterfall and a mountain overlook?

Start with the walking involved, your guests, and how much privacy you want. Cataract Falls is a public trail setting; overlooks are also shared public spaces. A private venue may suit you better if exclusive use is important.

What does a Gatlinburg elopement package include?

Our packages include an officiant, planning, license filing, required permits or venue fees, and a simple bouquet and boutonniere. Photography packages start at $1,750. Sweet & Simple is $800 at select locations without photography; ask whether your chosen setting qualifies. Travel fees are quoted separately.

How do we check our date and guest arrangements?

Send your preferred date, the place you are considering, and your full group size. Include any seating or mobility needs. We will discuss location suitability, availability, and package options before confirming a booking.
