Weather & access
High Country plans need a road-access discussion, particularly for mountain properties. Ask the property manager about seasonal access and a suitable indoor alternative.

Your celebration, your setting
For a High Country elopement, Boone-area lodges and private mountain properties offer different ways to keep the celebration small. We help you think through the ceremony location, guests, photographs, and travel as one plan, with a destination quote before booking.
Consider one-property celebrations at a mountain lodge or private venue.
Discuss walking, parking, and guest comfort before choosing a view.
Allow for destination travel and the requirements of a North Carolina ceremony.

Find your backdrop
These are starting points to explore, not reserved locations or confirmed venue partnerships. Ceremony permission, availability, guest limits, and access must be checked for your chosen site.
Ask About a LocationIdeas for your day
An intimate lodge-based plan could keep the ceremony and portraits together, with a separate meal afterward. If an overlook matters most, first check that ceremonies are allowed at that particular place. Then decide whether a second property adds something meaningful to your day.
Thoughtfully prepared
High Country plans need a road-access discussion, particularly for mountain properties. Ask the property manager about seasonal access and a suitable indoor alternative.
Do not assume an overlook or trail allows ceremonies. Public-land permission and private-venue bookings are separate, and both may have restrictions on groups and vendors.
Boone requires a destination travel plan from our Mohawk base. Share the property address, your date, and whether guests are staying nearby so we can quote accurately.
A little clarity
Tell us how much walking works for you and your guests. We can discuss lodge or private-property options and confirm their access; a mountain photograph alone cannot establish accessibility.
Our packages include an officiant, planning, license filing, required permits or venue fees, and a simple bouquet and boutonniere. Photography packages start at $1,750. Sweet & Simple is $800 at select locations without photography; ask whether your chosen setting qualifies. Travel fees are quoted separately.
Send your preferred date, the place you are considering, and your full group size. Include any seating or mobility needs. We will discuss location suitability, availability, and package options before confirming a booking.
